January 17, 2012- Sid went to Atlanta to see concussion specialist Ted Carrick.
January 12, 2012- Sidney will begin skating again and will travel with the Pens on their road trip to Florida.
January 6, 2012- The Pittsburgh Penguins struggle with many of their top players out with injuries.
January 4, 2012- Sid is out indefinitely for the All-Star game.
December 30, 2011- Sidney stays positive even though he is not practicing and sill experiencing concussion symptoms.
December 19, 2011- No news on Sid's return, he is still having symptoms.
December 13, 2011- Sid began having concussion symptoms again and has not played since.
December 12, 2011- Multiple Penguins players, including Sid, visited young patients at Children's Hospital.
December 8, 2011- Sidney did not travel with the team on the road to Philadelphia and Long Island.
December 7, 2011- He will not play in the next two games just as a precaution. He took an imPACT test which showed no changes, but they want to make sure that he is okay.
December 7, 2011- Sidney says his injury from the loss is nothing major, but he still did not practice on Tuesday just to give him some extra healing time.
December 6, 2011- Crosby is now in second place for most All-Star votes.
December 6, 2011- In the Pens' 3-1 loss to the Bruins, Sidney collided with his own teammate Chris Kunitz. He left the ice in pain but later returned.
December 1, 2011- Sid did not record any points in the Penguins' win over the Capitals, but he worked hard to get the win for the team.
November 29, 2011- Even though the Pens lost 4-3 to the New York Rangers, Sid had 2 assists.
November 29, 2011- Sidney Crosby is in fourth place for most votes for the All-Star game among forwards.
November 26, 2011- Sid gets 1 assist in the Pens 4-3 OT win over Montreal.
November 25, 2011- The Pens defeated the Ottawa Senators 6-3, and Sid had 3 assists.
November 21, 2011- Sidney gets 2 goals and 2 assists in the Penguins' win against the New York Islanders.
November 18, 2011- Victor Hedman, a defenseman for Tampa Bay, says he wants Sid back in the NHL.
November 13, 2011- Tyler Kennedy and Sidney Crosby (both concussions) trained with assistant coach Tony Granato to improve speed and endurance on ice.
November 11, 2011- Sid is expected to return to games soon, has been going all-out in practices.
November 10, 2011- Dan Bylsma reports that Sid will not be playing in the next two games.
Novemeber 9, 2011- Sidney Crosby receives more contact in practice, makes him closer to playing in games.
November 5, 2011- Sidney leaves team in Los Angeles to go to doctor's appointment; scheduled to practice Monday.
November 2, 2011- Teammates try to avoid hitting Crosby out of habit, most contact he receives is accidental.
November 1, 2011- With Pens' busy schedule, Sid is not getting enough contact in practices.
October 30, 2011- Fans, other players realize that it will take Sidney a few games before he gets back up to speed.
October 23, 2011- Although he has been cleared, Sid still has not had much contact.
October 19, 2011- Sid, along with other injured players, has been doing on-ice workouts with the Pen's strength and conditioning coach.
October 17, 2011- He is now participating fully in practices; does not know when he will be back the lineup for games. He did not go to the team's game in Winnipeg.
October 13, 2011- Sidney has been cleared for contact! He is slowly making his way in to practices.
October 11, 2011- The Penguins defeated the Florida Panthers in their home opener, without the help of their top players Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby.
October 10, 2011- Sidney continues to support team from the bench, still skating and participating in some drills in practice.
October 6, 2011- Sidney Crosby goes to Canada with the team for three-game road trip. He says that he is happy about the improvements he is making and although he still cannot have contact, he has been practicing very hard.
October 1, 2011- It has been confirmed that Sid is out for the season opener.
September 30, 2011- Sidney might join teammates on road trip to Canada for the Penguins' multiple games.
September 29, 2011- Still not cleared for contact, Sid participates in practice wearing a white helmet. (White helmet means no contact.)
September 22, 2011- Sidney did not participate in practice as a precaution.
September 17, 2011- He participated in his first hockey practice since his concussion on Jan. 6
September 16, 2011- Sidney tells media that he will take part in training camp but without contact.
September 8, 2011- Sid participates in conference, talks about his health and his emotions.
January 6, 2011- Sidney Crosby is diagnosed with a concussion.
